Our Year Begins with Sleeves Rolled Up
Introducing our newest signature project: Horizons Atlanta
For 75 years, Buckhead Rotary has lived Service Above Self—and our first meeting of the 2026–27 year proved that legacy has never been stronger. From the opening minute, it was everything our club does best: purpose, energy, and impact.
We started not with speeches but with our hands. Before the meeting was fully underway, we stuffed 100 Buckhead Rotary backpacks for Horizons Atlanta scholars heading back to school in a few weeks. There's no better way to open a year of service than with work that makes a difference right away.
That momentum carried straight into welcoming Horizons Atlanta as our new signature project. Ann Marie Bedtke, Kelsey Bunker, and former Horizons scholar Christian Aguilera-Ramirez shared the transformative impact of their programs—and how Buckhead Rotary will support their work at The Galloway School (Scott Elementary), The Temple (Toomer Elementary), and Atlanta International School (Garden Hills Elementary). To mark the partnership, we presented Horizons Atlanta with a $50,000 gift from the Buckhead Rotary Foundation.
And that gift is just the start. This year we will distribute $237,500 to 17 charities across our community—75 years of service, still building, still growing, still just getting started.
